After one year as a Lincoln assistant, Josh McClallen will take over as the head freshmen coach. Coach McClallen has the ultimate job of developing our young players into future varsity contributors and adjusting them to the demands of high school basketball.
Josh brings with him several years of coaching experience. After playing four years of college basketball and graduating from Lincoln College and MacMurray College in 1998 and 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree, McClallen served as a graduate assistant at MacMurry for one year. While at MacMurray, Josh broke two school records for most rebounds in a season and a single game. He then coached on Lincoln’s American Youth Basketball Tour for a year as well.
Just two years ago, Josh played a significant role in the success of nearby Hartem High School that went 19-11. From 2006-2008, Josh was Hartem’s head junior varsity coach and lead assistant varsity coach. Lincoln is proud to have Coach McClallen, another experienced and knowledgeable leader, as a part of their staff.
