Josh McClallen - Head Freshman / Asst Varsity & Sophomore

Josh McClallenJosh McClallen begins his fourth season as a Railer assistant and his third as the head freshmen coach.  Coach McClallen has the ultimate job of developing our young players into future varsity contributors and adjusting them to the demands of high school basketball.  Josh brings with him several years of coaching and playing experience.

He played four years of college basketball and graduated from Lincoln College and MacMurray College in 1998 and 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While at MacMurray, Josh also broke two school records for most rebounds in a season and in a single game.   McClallen then went on to serve as a graduate assistant there at MacMurry, as well as coach for Lincoln’s American Youth Basketball Tour. Coach McClallen’s freshmen last year posted a record that would rival any freshmen class in the history of the school, compiling 21 wins, one tournament championship, and only three losses.

Lincoln is proud to have Coach McClallen, another experienced and knowledgeable leader, as a part of their staff. Currently, Josh works for Halverson Construction Co., Inc. in Springfield, and he and his wife Becky reside in Mason City.
